 Our Mission
Cesar Augusto Murillo lost his life at the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001.

In his name, a memorial fund has been established to provide scholarships to minority students attending The University of Vermont, Cesar’s alma mater. As a native of Colombia, Cesar was extremely active in diversity issues at the University. The fund strives to honor Cesar by continuing his efforts to promote diversity and to enhance cultural understanding in the world.

The Cesar Augusto Murillo Memorial Fund provides scholarships to minority students enrolled at or accepting admission to the University of Vermont. To date the fund has awarded 4 scholarships to University of Vermont students.

We’re excited to be hosting the ‘Class of ‘91 Lawn Party’ on Saturday June 3 in Burlington, VT. The event will strive to create awareness of the fund amongst other UVM graduates during reunion weekend.
